HAVERHILL — A Broadway resident answered a knock on his door at 4 a.m. Tuesday and was confronted by three masked men who forced their way inside, police said.
One of the men put a gun to the homeowner's head and forced him into the bedroom, while the two other intruders stood watch over house guests in the living room, Detective Capt. Alan Ratte said.
The homeowner gave the man $500 and the robber threw a blanket over him, while still holding the gun to his head, Ratte said.
"(The victim) became scared and pushed the gun away and realized it was too light and was probably fake. He began to wrestle with the man and pulled the bandanna off his face and recognized him as someone he had been with earlier in the evening,'' Ratte said.
The three men fled, dropping the gun, along with a set of brass knuckles, on the ground outside the house, Ratte said.
The victim was treated for a cut requiring three stitches, a concussion and bruises received during the incident.
After an investigation, police arrested Caesar Delossantos, 19, of 566 Washington St., and Michael Brown, 19, of 352 Primrose St., and charged them both with carrying a dangerous weapon, home invasion and armed robbery while masked.
Ratte said investigators were seeking the identity of the third person involved in the home invasion.

It's 4:00am, you hear a knock at your door, and you just open the friggin door without verifying who is knocking? Just open it right up.
Did this dope think it was the UPS man? Mr. Fongs Fast Chau delivery boy? Avon calling? Good Lord...
