QUINCY -
A Quincy man who allegedly broke into a woman's home quickly found himself on the wrong end of a foot chase.
Jorge Igarza, 51, of 356 Washington St., was arrested after being chased by three police officers and the woman whose home he is accused of breaking into, Quincy Police Capt. John Dougan said.
The woman told police that she came home to Mechanic Street at about noon Tuesday and found a man there, Dougan said.
"She said 'Get out, or I am going to call police," Dougan said. The man ran out of the home and down the street and the woman ran after him.
Two Randolph plain-clothes detectives were leaving Quincy District Court and saw the woman chasing the man on Elm Street, Dougan said. They got into their car, drove a short short distance, got out and began chasing the man, too.
Quincy Police Officer Steve Cleary joined the chase after seeing the man run by and the Randolph detectives after him.
The three police officers caught up to the man and when the woman arrived, she identified him as the person who broke into her home.
Igarza faces charges of breaking and entering, Dougan said. He is due to be arraigned today.
