WRENTHAM - One person was taken to a Boston hospital by a medical helicopter following a motor vehicle rollover this morning on Interstate 495 in the area of the King Street exit.
The accident was reported around 8:35 a.m. in the median of the northbound side of highway.
The helicopter took the victim, identified as Daniel J. Callahan, 26, of Milton, to Brigham and Women's Hospital. The extent of his injuries was not immediately known, according to state police. Wrentham firefighters had to free Callahan from the vehicle.
Callahan was driving the vehicle, a 2007 Chrsyler Sebring.
The northbound side of the highway for about 20 minutes to allow the helicopter land, said Sgt. David Mahan, a state police spokesman.
The cause of the accident was under investigation by Trooper Kevin Collins of the Foxboro State Police barracks.
