MADBURY, NH — Police are investigating the suspicious death of a Rochester man at a Madbury home over the weekend.
The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office says police found the body of 19-year-old Joseph Close after being called to a Fitch Road home around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday. Investigators discovered that Close had been in a fight at the home and several other people were present at the time.
State and local police are continuing to investigate.
An autopsy on Close's body is scheduled for Monday. Police say they are waiting for the results before releasing more information.

MADBURY,NH – Police are not commenting about a Rochester teen found stabbed to death early Sunday in a home on Fitch Road.
State police responded to 25 Fitch Road a little after 2 a.m. and found 19-year-old Joseph Close dead. Preliminary results of an autopsy performed yesterday showed Close died of a stab wound to the chst.
Authorities said little about the circumstances of Close's killing yesterday as they continued to investigate. State police with an evidence truck were at the home all day looking for clues. The Attorney General's Office is also involved, as is customary when someone is killed.
"This is really early on, and we're trying to gather any information we can at this point," Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said, declining to comment further.
Before his death, Close was involved in a "physical altercation" during which "several other persons were present," according to a statement from the Attorney General's Office.
Young would not elaborate on the statement, including when Close was stabbed, how many others were present or what precipitated the incident.
The Fitch Road home is owned by Anthony Wojtysiak Sr. and was purchased in September 2006, according to town records.
Neighbors said Wojtysiak lives in the house with his girlfriend and her two children, a girl in her early 20s and a teenage boy. The couple were gone last weekend on a trip to Florida and the children stayed home, several neighbors said, though it's unclear whether the pair have returned since the stabbing.
Messages left for Wojtysiak weren't returned yesterday.
Don Stewart, who lives across from Wojtysiak, said his landlord reported hearing a small party at Wojtysiak's home early Sunday. Stewart said Wojtysiak is a good neighbor, and there had previously been no problems at the home.
