BRAINTREE -
Police arrested a Quincy man after Macy's store security allegedly caught him removing a sensor from a leather jacket worth $450.
Police said security officers first saw Tony Nguyen, 22, when he tried to return a sweatshirt with an ink stain Sunday.
Nguyen had been in Macy's a few days earlier when he fled the store with a sweatshirt, police said.
The ink stain was caused by the improper removal of the security sensor tag.
When the return was denied, Nguyen tried to remove the sensor from a leather jacket that became marred from an ink stain.
Police said Nguyen dropped the jacket and left the store.
He returned a short time later and successfully removed the sensor from another leather jacket, police said.
After putting the jacket into a shopping bag, he walked to the parking lot and was stopped before he could leave, police said.
Nguyen was charged with larceny of property worth more than $250.
Police said the value of the two jackets and sweatshirt was $948.

BRAINTREE -
First it was a leather jacket - and now cologne. For the second time in less than a week, police have arrested a Braintree man for larceny from a Shore Shore Plaza store.
The latest incident occurred Thursday when Tony Nguyen, 22, allegedly tried to walk out of Filene's Basement with several bottles of cologne valued at more than $330.
Police said Nguyen told officer Michael Want that this was his first time shoplifting.
Nguyen, however, was also arrested Sept. 28 after Macy's security allegedly caught him removing a sensor from a leather jacket valued at $450.
Police said security first saw Nguyen when he tried to return a sweatshirt with an ink stain.
Nguyen had been in Macy's a few days earlier when he fled the store with a sweatshirt, police said.
Nguyen is charged with larceny of property valued at more than $250 for his most recent arrest.
