Did a quick search and nothing came up on the site here. I haven't bought this stuff in a long long time but looked for it tonight with no luck. My next stop will be an army surplus store. Already checked Walmart. Got it there last time. Any ideas where I can find it? Went to the leather luster web site and they'll sell you a 4oz can for $7.99. Not bad but the shipping is almost $11.00. Screw that on principle.

And don't judge me. I've been polishing for years.

Hope you aren't using those on your boots.

NOT polishing is more like it- that shit turns everything to patent leather.

Works great though - I used it many years in the Army on the ol jump boots.

I used to pick it up at Military Clothing/ sales.

Much harder to find now that all the services have gone to brown boots and patent leather issued dress shoes.

Trippis has in stock I believe. I use it on my winter boots. I have no shame. Summer boots are light and don't take a shine.

Saw some at Doughboy's in Dorchester back around Christmas time. I've seen it at Army Barracks also.

I won't...when I discovered leather luster a few years ago, it was like a gift from the gods. I've literally wasted years of my life polishing boots, when I could have got it done in minutes.

Good stuff. I think Andrea's Police Supply carries it.

Lots of our folks used it a number of years ago but found that after a while, when it seeps into the leather of the boot, it begins to crack and ruin the look of the boot. Don't know why that is though.

Some folks still use it on their Sam Brownes and for whatever reason, it works ok and doesn't seem to crack.

I've heard the same so I never used it. Stroke Peter uses it and has cracked boots but they're concealed by the fake shine. I'm not sure if the cracks are due to LL or the fact that the boots are a million years old.

Did you take all one way streets to get there? Damn son, the least you could do is pick Rock up a case lot of it.

That shit starts cracking, you gotta use the can of stripper/thinner to remove ALL the black.

    Then it's dry and re-apply...

Found a can at the Army store on Rt 1 Saugus. The way I see it is the goal is to look the part. Who cares how you get there.
