The Massachusetts State Police anticipates releasing a request for response (RFR) for the purchase of Mobile Data hardware and installation services for in-vehicle operations.

It is the intent of the Massachusetts State Police to negotiate and enter into a multi-year contract with a bidder who can offer the best value to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The initial contract will be awarded for a period of twelve months with three renewal options for a total contract period of 48 months.

The Department of State Police is interested in procuring laptop computers and peripherals for mobile in-vehicle use of the equipment. The procurement will include laptop computer (rugged) with integrated communications (W-LAN, W-WAN, GPS), in-vehicle docking station, printer, scanner, vehicle mounting hardware and installation services.

The Massachusetts State Police anticipates releasing a request for response (RFR) for the purchase of an Intelligence Management System. This system will be utilized to automate the intelligence processes of collection, collation, processing and dissemination of intelligence information. Federal funds are being utilized for this procurement.

MSP Armored Response Vehicles

The Massachusetts State Police is interested in purchasing two Armored Response Vehicles for tactical deployment and rescue. They will be utilized for the safe transport of 10-12 team members to volatile emergency situations including (but not limited to) barricaded subjects, hostage situations and high risk warrant service. Bids must be received in writing in accordance with all requirements by Monday, March 8, 2004 at 12:00 PM. Funding through the Edward Byrne Memorial State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance Formula Grant Program supports this procurement. The funds are awarded through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety- Programs Division.

Federal Funds are being utilized for this procurement.

MSP intelligence management system - cars will be equipped with a
'scanner' (for checking drivers licenses).
