Kentucky Police Officer Found Dead in Flood A Hickman City, Kentucky police officer was found dead in a flooded field early Saturday morning after he went missing Friday night. Officer Rodney S. Smith's body was located directly off Bernal Avenue in Hickman City around 5 a.m. and the cruiser he was driving was also found, according to a Kentucky State Police news release. The 45-year-old officer was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fulton County Coroner. He was reported missing at approximately 9:15 p.m. the night before.
