Abington PD had one but they got rid of it to the dismay of the handler. Plymouth Co Sheriffs have a bunch. Brockton PD has a couple.

Question for the Troopers...

After you put in your time in patrol and your a Trooper in good standing, how hard is it to get into the MSP K9 Unit?

Our department has one. We have about twenty dogs working three shifts at three different, soon to be four facilities. We also do patrol work on a mutual aid basis. Peabody and Saugus also have teams in this area. I believe there are also one or two towns on the Northern North Shore which have units. I have seen a few cars marked K9 during parades and what not.
