Has anyone here been on a department that did not have a K-9 when they first started, but now has one?
What I'm looking for is information regarding how to obtain a K-9 for a department. My husband is interested in it and was basically told by one of his Sgt.'s to get information together, pitch it to the Chief and see what happens. His department used to have a dog, but it was purely tracking - he wants to get a narcotics dog.
