No relation but both stories seem to be a little far fetched.

They may be far fetched to an extent. In many cases I have seen like this the accuser is 95% wrong but there is often some not so smart decisions made by the officer. Although the criminal side of many of these cases get dumped, the officer's career is DOA.

 

There was a Trooper convicted recently in western mass from some online date that went bad. Very scary stuff
