IPO/ISO in Dorms

at UMass Lowell we did have ISOs that worked the front desks in the residence halls from 11pm - 7am. However, our department no longer controls those ISOs as they are now supervised by our residence life office. No police officers ever sat at the desk.

If you know anyone from Westfield State check with them. When I use to work there we Had ISO's in the dorms , infact they are still there today as far as I know . As far as the P/P don't really know if the have one

Westfield State has ISOs that rove around the dorms in 2 shifts, from 2p-10p and 10p-6a. They work for Residential Life but wear the DPS patch and use the WSCPD radio system to get dispatched to calls. Usually somewhere between 2 and 5 on at any given shift.

I know that BSC has an ISO always at the student apartments and the freshman dorm (Shea/Durgin). Also, there are ISOs from 7pm to 3am at the other (upperclassmen) dorms on campus. You could probably get more information from the BSC website (www.bridgew.edu). The campus police number is on there as well.

Suffolk University has both a police officer and a security officer assigned to each dorm on every shift.
