    Hello out there:

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had any experience with any interviews for a federal probation officer, or probation officer in general. Just the kind of questions they ask, whether it is with a panel or not, etc. i didn't know if it was like a police officer interview or a little bit different.

    Thanks a lot

most federal oral boards ask the same questions. Its a very structured set of questions. Nothing normally too out of the ordinary. They will most likely ask you questions that are relevant to your level of training/experience/education. The Federal Hiring process is the slowest and most dragged out you will ever experience. Good Luck.

State Of Massachusetts Oral Board Questions:

(They are the same for every job in the Judicial Branch, as far as entry level type stuff)

What does the Position of (enter job title here, eg Court Officer, Probation Officer, Case Specialist, etc.) mean to you?

How do you believe your prior job/life experience will relate to (enter job title here)?

What is your opinion of sick time?

    Are you willing to travel?

Anything else you would like to add....

"Now get out so we can hire someone based solely on their political connections errr....I mean We'll be in touch, thankyou for your time...."
