Police: Inmate Involved In Hit-And-Run
LEWISTON, Maine -- A work release inmate from the Maine State Correctional facility in Warren is back in jail after he didn't return to the the Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren Tuesday evening, according to police.
Police said Kris Nadeau, 33, allegedly stole a 1996 F-150 truck and was then involved in a hit-and-run accident in Knox County, of which he fled the scene.
At approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday, an Androscoggin County deputy spotted the stolen truck heading in town on Sabattus street in Lewiston. The deputy followed the vehicle into a Cumberland Farms parking lot where Nadeau got out of the vehicle and was arrested without incident.
Nadeau faces several charges including, operating under the influence, aggravated operating after habitual offender revocation, unlawful possession of a scheduled drug along with numerous charges from Knox County.
