well after a year of the military telling me the pain in my legs and back was from stress and a pulled muscle (not the herniated disc and narrowing spinal canal). An MRI, 2 ER Dr.s, a Professor/Doc of Neurology, a Neurosurgeon, A physical therapy Doctor, 2 Navy docs, 3 different physical therapist (3 different physical therapy routines) a month of bed rest and no medication --> my jerk off command decided that they can't and haven't been able to treat me out here. So to that end I am getting medevac'd to Portsmouth VA naval Hospital for a whole month  of course i don't know when i will b leaving or if I am coming back. so wish me luck!

How about this one. Family member goes for MRI about eight years ago(Vietnam vet). comes home and two days later he feels something pulling on his sweater. The shrapnel from his 2 purple hearts and Bronze Star was pulled from his body because of the magnet in the machine. The VA cut and pulled approx 1/2 pound of metal from his neck/shoulder/back. He kept the stuff comprising of tops of screws and bits and pieces. He retired from work within 6 months and received 100% from the VA.

The ringing in your ears is also stress. everything is stress. The next thing you know they will say take these psych meds. My answer: yeah, I get stressed everytime I hear loud noises? hey, stupid maybe my eardrum was popped because of the aircraft engines. Not the brightest people.
