CRESTVIEW, Florida-- A driver who drove by a Crestview Police officer with a flat tire, then reversed and backed up through the same intersection, was pulled over.
The officer noted that after driving past his marked patrol car twice, the man put his hand over his face and slumped down in his seat.
The officer followed the car and turned on his emergency lights. The driver, 24-year-old Daniel Dewayne Nolan, pulled over and tried to get out of his vehicle, but had difficulty standing, according to his arrest report. The officer noted that he smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. His pants were also completely unzipped.
Nolan, who lives in Crestview, told the officer he was only allowed to drive for business purposes and that he was on probation for trafficking in stolen property.
The officer contacted dispatch and learned that the man's license had been suspended 15 times. He was placed under arrest and charged with felony DUI, driving while his license is suspended and refusing to submit to a breath test.
