Good ol' Deval is worried about the children not getting "proper healthcare and treatment". He's already talking about the release of some of the Illegals. This guy is a shitbag! Why the F**k did we elect him...

    LOL, every one of them

Here's the NON LIBERAL TRUE STORY if anyone would like to read:

    http://www.ice.gov/pi/news/newsreleases/articles/070306boston.htm

The newspapers claimed there were over 300 agents conducting the raid, I highly doubt that.

And just like every other occurance of ICE doing their job, the immigration activists are complaining once again. Isn't it funny that every single on of those people who work for the "immigration activists commision" or whatever they call themselves have hispanic names?

Just where I like to see my Federal tax dollars at work. Grabbing illegal immigrants who actually work for a living. Don't these ICE Agents have enough to do catching the layabout welfare cheats / drug dealers / degenerates instead of bothering hard working people trying to eek out a living?

They should have just scooped the 5 people in the corner office and the documents dealer and left the other 345 alone. Maybe given them some freaken toilet paper and told them to go back to work instead of clogging an already overburdened system.

He can't. Once a detainer has been issued no one short of an ICE agent or US Immigration judge can release them. Latest word is 320 apprehended as illegals. 32 released for "humanitarian reasons" (READ juveniles or pregnant women) who are given return dates for deportation. In most cases they never show either going underground or actually, going home. I'm willing to bet most of the 32 will go home given the magnitude of the operation.

There were over 300 agents involved. I heard closer to 500 brought in from across the US. They are being processed at Devens on a continuous basis and the flights to transport them to other holding facilities or back to their native lands were standing by Tuesday morning.

    This is on NECN. http://www.boston.com/news/necn/New_England/

They can't, HC: the "layabout welfare cheats/drug dealers/degenerates" are citizens, so not their jurisdiction!:D

They should go after the people selling fake IDs.

Those people are probably also involved with trafficking illegal things...

... Man! are there really 300 ICE agents??

    Re: New Bedford factory sting

There was damn close to 300. They flew them in from across the country.

There was also that many or more so-called "prisoners" that were still on scene being processed 12 hours later.

Immigration raids met with cheers and jeers

Agents arrest nearly 1,300 in suspected ID theft scam at six meat plants

GREELEY, Colo. - Outside a meatpacking plant fence, a frustrated Tony Garcia watched as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents swarmed inside to arrest illegal immigrants suspected in an identity-theft scheme.
“We need help,” he yelled. “We need answers.”
But most of his questions Tuesday had to wait. Federal officials said on Wednesday there had been nearly 1,300 arrests of illegal immigrants as agents swept through Swift & Co. plants in six states. No names were released although they included individuals from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Peru, Laos, Sudan and Ethiopia.
At the Swift plant in Grand Island, Neb., as many as 250 workers from a shift of more than 600 were detained, local union spokesman Mike Mary told The Washington Post.

In Colorado, Garcia worried about the schoolchildren whose parents were arrested at the Swift plant in Greeley. [IMG]

Monica Salazar, 26, holds a sign at the entrance of a Swift & Company meat processing in Greeley, Colo., on Tuesday.

“Who is going to pick them up?” he asked.
The raids followed a 10-month investigation into illegal immigrants suspected of buying or stealing other people’s identities to secure U.S. jobs. The scheme may have had hundreds of victims, officials said.
Immigration officials last month informed Swift that it would remove unauthorized workers on Dec. 4, but Swift asked a federal judge to prevent agents from conducting the raid, arguing it would cause “substantial and irreparable injury” to its business.
    High percentage of illegal immigrants
The company had estimated a raid would remove up to 40 percent of its 13,000 workers. Greeley-based Swift describes itself as the world’s second-largest meat processor with sales of about $9 billion.
After a closed hearing, a judge on Thursday rejected Swift’s request, clearing the way for Tuesday’s raids at the plants in Greeley; Grand Island; Cactus, Texas; Hyrum, Utah; Marshalltown, Iowa; and Worthington, Minn.
The six plants represent all of Swift’s domestic beef processing capacity and 77 percent of its pork processing capacity.

Arrests, Indictments Follow Suspected Illegal Immigrant Bust

    4:55 p.m. PST February 22, 2007

SAN DIEGO - Eight suspected illegal immigrants in San Diego are among 220 arrested nationwide as part of a major tax fraud investigation. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, said the suspected illegal immigrants were working for a Florida-based company that contracted cleaning services with many well-known restaurant chains, including San Diego.
ICE also said three top officials of the company conspired to pay workers under the table.
NBC 7/39 reported that one of the principals in the case, identified as Christina Flocken, of Longwood, Fla., had her Poway home seized by the government.
Flocken is the controller of Rosenbaum-Cunningham International, Inc. According to ICE officials, the company had contracts to clean the House of Blues and Dave and Busters in San Diego.
Officials said that RCI's practice of paying cash wages to their workers deprived the government of $18 million in employment taxes.
ICE officials allege the co-owners of the company used the money to buy themselves racehorses, boats and lavish homes.
Those company officials, including Flocken, have been indicted on federal charges, including criminal fraud, immigration and tax charges, according to ICE.
The 220 people who were arrested are now facing deportation, officials said.
Arrests were made in 63 locations in 17 states and Washington D.C.
Officials said the investigation started two years ago in Grand Rapids, Mich., when an illegal immigrant revealed his employment with RCI and said company officials had provided him with fake immigration documents.

I was talking about the "layabout welfare cheats/drug dealers/degenerates" who aren't citizens and whom ICE has jurisdiction over. Plenty of them in the New Bedford area. If not, just roll that bus North to Boston, then out the Pike to Framingham.
We have our own home grown "layabout welfare cheats / drug dealers / degenerates" to deal with.
The people grabbed in this sting were actually working to support their family.

And they were reduced to slave labor taking jobs away from citizens of this country.

Would you wear a protective vest that was made in some foreign country and then brought here only to replace the tag to pretend it was made in the USA?

Careful Housing, your liberal skirt is showing. ;)

The people here were working illegally to support a variety of things, some of it family. Most, a cash flow back to their native land. They were not doing jobs "Americans won't". The company knew Americans couldn't work in those conditions because the work place was in violation of many laws the least of which labor laws. So he sought out those who didn't know better or didn't care. Finally, when you knowingly enter the country illegally, knowingly apply for work illegally and knowingly buy fake ID using illegally obtained information from American citizens, you are just as much a deadbeat layabout criminal as the next guy.

There were no "innocent migrants" here. Every single one of them knew at a minimum, they snuck into this country.

Well, let's start with the real criminal element of the illegal alien population first. Keep fishing and throw the small ones back and wait to hook the bigger fish.
Todays illegal immigrant is tomorrows Amnesty Citizen. Don't say it can't or won't happen. It has and it will again. Trust me on that.
Go after the bad guys and leave the below the radar people alone until you've fought and won against the real scourge. CriminAliens.

    Re: New Bedford factory sting

yes, I can see his liberal side too. Overcrowded system???? We just deport them. These people are in the country illegally, there is no excuse, even if they are actually working. Because, ALL THAT $$ IS IN THEIR POCKET. They probably live with a relative, so they dont have to pay for a house, no taxes, no license, no anything. Anyone who is in here illegally should be booted right back out. They come in here and cheat us by making money, but not doing there fair share? And ICE is busy everyday going after "the big fish". It's not like they have nothing better to do, we all know that you can't catch them all. There's my 2 cents, I'm done.

    Re: New Bedford factory sting

We can't make exceptions to the law because of the circumstances. Just because they went to work everday and collected a paycheck (obviously not paying taxes on it by the way) doesn't give them a free pass into the country. They were illegals, and that is against the law, plain and simple. If we look away from that, what's next?

Don't let Deval think he has the Golden key to the crapper when it comes to what laws he can enforce and what laws he can look the other way on.

It's about time something is done instead of looking the other way.
    Deport them all.
Take the welfare scums and put them to work in place of the illegals.
300 off the welfare rolls would be the same as a tax break.
Half of those arrested probaly were collecting welfare also.
Enough of the leftest liberal crap the poor immigrants.

    Re: New Bedford factory sting

Guys, don't get me wrong here. They're here illegally and should be deported. All I am saying is that there should be a pecking order on who goes first. Grab all the CriminAliens who sell drugs, shoot guns, mug people and cause general mayhem FIRST. Then get around to casting a wide net to catch the smaller fish.

Now realize, thet these 350 people have families and minor children. If there isn't anybody able or willing to take the kids, guess where they go? To the state DYS system, and we all know that it's a mini-camp for the Future Felons Of America Club. It's cost prohibitive to house them and care for them when their working illegal alien parent is in ICE custody. And most if not all of these kids are US citizens.

It's a lose-lose situation but I guess you have to start somewhere

I think that's called profiling...as well, if you deport the ones working and arrest the people hiring them, you are killing two boids with one stone.
If there's no one willing to hire them, there is a much lower chance of mor wanting to come take their place.
