I drove past this accident last night and heard it on my scanner
So Sad
Most of Raynham Fire were commited to this accident as the call came in.

Both Pumpers as well as the Town's Ambulance.

Also at the same time as this call came in another call for the smell of Natural Gas came in at the Raynham Marriot.

I am not sure how they dealt with that call.

Maybe Taunton was dispatched to that call at the Marriot.


Man, Pregnant Woman Seriously Injured In Crash

TAUNTON, Mass. -- A man and a pregnant woman were seriously injured in a car crash in Taunton Sunday night.




The accident happened in the northbound lane of Route 24 just before 9 p.m.

The car went off the road between the exits for Routes 140 and 44.

Police said both victims were trapped in the car and were extricated.

Rescue crews said their injuries were severe. The couple was transported to Morton Hospital in Taunton. The woman was Med-Flighted from there to Boston Medical Center.

There is no word on their current conditions

wow thats sad i hope they are all ok. that reminds me of when i was taking my daughter home from the hospital after they were born i was so damn nervous- my head was on swivel u would have thought i was hauling the pope, the president, the Dali lama & nuclear material. I was about a mile from my house & was coming to a red light @ a T intersection (RT & RT 16 uxbridge center) there was 2 lanes right turn which i was making and a left turn lane. I was slowing to a stop at the red light and about 25 ft from the "stop here on red" line and a car with a teenage girl talking on a cell phone & laughing with 4 other girls in the car came barrel-assing around the corner (making a left turn) into my lane... not the left turn lane next her lane but mine. i had slam on the breaks, she swerved went up to the side walk on the left side of the road (my left; her right) then got back on the road never slowed down or anything. i don't know if she was trying to beat a yellow of just got her license that day and was being dumb. but she could have killed my little ones. I was so damn scared & my wife cried hysterically the rest of the way home.

yea, I heard about this accident the other night on the scanner...such a sad story...never heard any update on the condition of the people involved...hope they're okay
