Since my mag question went was answered I will ask this one.
How does everyone carry their baton? Behind the firearm or on the oher side in front of the radio for a cross draw?
If you carry a firearm, the baton should _always_ be placed on your 'weak side'. That being the opposite side from which you carry your firearm on your duty belt.

That being said, I carry mine in front of my radio, and behind my cuffcase in a crossdraw postion.

Directly behind firearm, right side.
Mags infront of firearm.
Oc in front of mags
Cuffs behind baton
Gloves in center of rear (latex)
flashlight to the left of gloves
radio on left side

It's really what your most comfortable with. When I first started, I did what the older guys did. Eventually I adapted what I was confortable with.

I recently took a class with a top Monadnock expert who said there is no "right way" to carry the baton....use whichever side you prefer. Personally, I don't put anything behind my weapon, because it may impede drawing it...so I think cross-draw is better.

i carry mine on my left side due to being a right handed shooter. i use a cross draw and have used this method my whole career. i know hundreds of officers and this is the preferred method by all.
