A Fiske Street man will be arraigned today on charges he raped and assaulted an 11-year-old, authorities say.
Michael Finos, 46, posted $10,000 bail over the weekend after being arrested Saturday morning by Holliston Police. He was charged with statutory child rape, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under age 14 and two counts of disseminating obscene material to a minor, police said.
Corey Welford, spokesman for Middlesex County District Attorney Gerard Leone, said the crimes took place in Holliston.
"We allege that the assaults occurred over a period of months," Welford said.
He declined to elaborate, saying only that the suspect and the 11-year-old victim knew each other.
Police say Finos was also charged with selling or delivering liquor to a minor. He was arrested at 7:37 a.m. at his 256 Fiske St. home, with officers bringing a warrant to search his home, police said.
Police yesterday said they were directed to provide no further information.
Reached by cell phone, Chief Tom Lambert said he was on vacation and couldn't discuss specifics.
"It's certainly concerning, but I think our office did a great job in the investigation," the chief said, referring further comment to a lieutenant who wouldn't be on duty until this morning.
Welford said more details will be available at Finos' arraignment, scheduled for this morning in Framingham District Court.

A woman called a Holliston man accused of raping her 11-year-old son "a monster" following the man's Framingham District Court arraignment yesterday.
Michael Finos, 46, pleaded not guilty to raping and sexually assaulting the boy, as well as providing obscene material to another child.
The mother, whom the Daily News is not identifying because it would identify her son, said Finos needs to be punished.
"He's not sick. Sick people can be cured," she said. "Poor little boys are innocent lambs to him."
The distraught woman said she feels betrayed.
"He told the police, 'I treated him like a son,' " she said. "He told me a year ago, 'He is like a third son.' "
Finos was arrested at his 256 Fiske St. home on Saturday at 7:37 a.m.
He is charged with statutory child rape, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child younger than 14, two counts of disseminating obscene material to a minor and providing liquor to a minor.
There were two children, the alleged rape victim and a second child, whose gender and age were not released, to whom authorities say Finos provided the obscene material.
Finos' lawyer, Jeffrey A. Denner, said his client is innocent.
"We're looking forward to our day in court," he said. "These are obviously serious allegations and we deny them. These are not strangers. He is a family friend. We're hoping this is a big misunderstanding and hopefully it'll be cleared up."
Judge Douglas Stoddart set bail at $10,000, the amount Finos posted at the police station after his arrest Saturday. Stoddart also granted prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald's request that Finos wear a GPS ankle bracelet monitor.
He also asked that Finos be ordered not to contact the victim, his family or any potential witnesses. Fitzgerald also asked Stoddart to order Finos to not have any unsupervised contact with children younger than 16.
Denner did not oppose the conditions.
As Finos left the court, the victim's mother wept heavily, while one of her friends said, "He should be in jail."
Finos is due back in court on Sept. 9 for a pretrial conference.
