Hiker finds body in East Hartford

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - East Hartford police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a town park.
Police say a hiker on the Linear Park Trail found the body at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, a few hundred yards east of Hillside Street. The man apparently has been dead for a long time.
A spokesman for the police department says the man had not been identified as of Friday morning, and the body has been turned over to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
