Police in Hanson are investigating a double shooting on West Washington Street. Reports say one person is dead and another life flighted after they were shot in a car. No further details at this time.
Reports say the case appears to be a case involving a love triangle.

Police say one man is dead and another seriously injured after a shooting in Hanson, Massachusetts. The shooting took place at about 1:45 Monday afternoon, at 12 East Washington Street. Police say the owner of the home is 37-year-old Kevin Coleman, and was putting away his motorcycle at the time of the incident.
According to police 39-year-old Scott McClellan of Whitman shot Coleman in the back, and then took his own life.

HANSON -

In an apparent love triangle, a Whitman man this afternoon killed himself after shooting and wounding a Hanson man who was dating his former girlfriend, authorities said.
Authorities said Scott MacLellan, 39, of Whitman, shot himself in the head with a rifle after firing at Kevin Coleman, 36, outside his house at 12 East Washington St., Hanson. Coleman suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was rushed to Brockton Hospital, where he was undergoing surgery this afternoon.
Police received a 911 call at 1:44 p.m. reporting a shooting outside the East Washington Street home. When they arrived, they found Coleman outside his house, wounded but conscious. He spoke to police briefly before being rushed to Brockton Hospital.
Authorities found MacLellan in his minivan, which was running. He was dead of a gunshot wound to the head and a 35-caliber Remington rifle was found between his legs.
Authorities said they believe MacLellan was in his minivan around the corner lying in wait for Coleman, who was shot when he was outside his house to put away his motorcycle. MacLellan then killed himself.
Authorities are still investigating the attempted murder and apparent suicide.
