Quit????????? please explain why..
A lack of intestinal fortitude.

Its actually a good thing to get these bad-bodies off the job now rather then carry them for the next 25 years.

Sometimes people just talk a really good game, then when it's time to step up...they're just not what they claimed to be. They may even have families and past coworkers(who don't really know any better than to believe their BS stories) fooled and get a good reference. I've always said in the military, "Don't tell me what a good troop you are, show me". Either way, this is what the academy is all about, weeding out those unfit for the profession. Trust me, those of us on the job were just given 6 favors.

I know what your saying, it's better if they fall out now, rather than out on the street. It just sucks that they wasted 6 slots in a class though.

They think that just because they took the CS test and passed it they're entitled to it. These people really don't want to do the dirty work (ie: wrestle bad guys in a piss filled hallway, work boring shifts day after day, see the human suffering at a bad accident) Let's face it many of the people who drop out and some who make it through the academy think it's all CSI shit. They haven't wanted the "job" for years.....just from the time the recieved their passing grade in the mail and one of their friends said "Dude, you would be a great cop" or "Oh my Gawd Girlfriend you'll look so cute in the uniform" That's where some of these people are coming from. Hey I like hockey and would love to play professionally....but I would Have NO BUSINESS even trying out. With police work, evryone thinks they CAN do it.

We had one of those in our class, remember that Sarge? They are better gone now, because later they would make more problems for the class.
Doesn't make a difference how much it sucks on day one or week 19, it will all be worth it in the end, and for those who left, maybe it was not for them, I'm sure they will be good at something else. But they will always be nasty

Both of our new hires, GONE! And they only had 7 months to prepare for day 1 (not counting their whole lives before that). Better now than later though.
If someone could give me a little more info I would appreciate it. What exactly made them quit, was the DI yelling at them and they couldnt take it, could they not handle the physical part Imj ust wondering what was the final straw.

Just wondering, are you on the job? If so, what academy did you go to? You should know what happens with those who quit and why they do it. If someone wants to find out what happens strap on some khaki iniforms come in and see what happens. Don't forget the first rule of the fightclub, don't talk about the fightclub.

The fact their testes haven't dropped yet.

It doesn't really matter; they're gone and all of us in blue are better for it. Whether it was mental, physical, or the cat crapped in their cheerios that morning, obviously they were unsuited for policing.

No, he isn't, but at least he's going about it the right way.

Over fifty or so dropped from my academy, and I don't care whether they talk sh*t about it or not. They can run their sucks all they want; when push came to shove they choose to quit while six months later the rest of us were standing tall on the parade deck with boots, breeches and a shiny badge on our chests.

For the record NO im not on the job, I worked at a Hospital in Security for 4 yrs, went through the Reading Reserve Academy, thinking it would help I got certs in oc, baton 1st respnder all in the hopes of getting on ..moved to the City I wanted to get on, took the test ,scored well .. went through the entire process..psych,background,medical,firearms, policies and procedures....and then got bypassed..filed a Civil Service Appeal..won that and I currently work at Seabrook for the Nuclear Security Force awaiting the next step..So for someone like myself its unimaginable to take a slot and then quit, I understand you guys are better off without these guys but for those of us that have put in the time, effort and literally blood ,sweat and tears..it seems unimaginable...
