'Golden Girl' Rue McClanahan Dead At 76

    Actress Rue McClanahan, best known for role as "Blanche Devereaux" on the hit series "Golden Girls," died early Thursday morning after suffering a massive stroke, CBS station WCBS-TV in New York City has confirmed. She was 76.

    McClanahan died at 1 a.m. with her family by her bedside.

    Was never a big fan of the Golden Girls, but I did watch occassionally and it was a funny show, each person bringing something to the table. Rue McClanahan was priceless and for such an old dame, not hard on the eyes. She'll be missed.
