Girl, 13, Arrested In Connection With Attempted Central Park Robbery
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)- Authorities have announced an arrest in connection with an attempted robbery in Central Park.
Police said they were looking for two young kids who allegedly tried to rob a 38-year-old woman on Monday.
On Thursday night, the NYPD announced the arrest of one of the suspects - a 13-year-old girl, who was charged with attempted robbery.
Authorities said a girl first went up to the victim and demanded her cellphone, police said.
The victim refused and a boy, believed to be about 11 years old, then tried to snatch the victim's pocketbook, police said.
