Friendly's had a good paty melt, but for what they gave, the prices were too high. The place I really miss allot is China Royal in Fall River!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There arent many Ground Rounds left , Salem on Highland Ave and Stoneham , I think its Rte 28.

The one on Highland Ave became an iHop a few years ago. Not sure if it still is, I haven't been that way in a while.

They have great comfort food. My wife likes to bring kids there. A lot of old people eat there. It is an establishment in some communities. Sad for some, good riddance for others.

If it was Five Guys then the president would have thrown em a bone.

I still love a big bowl of their clam chowder. Def. comfort food there.

I believe the original owner bought the company back and is attempting to make something good out of it again. There is a Friendly's Express in Methuen that is a good improvement on the original restaurant. My wife hates Friendly's, but she is imported from out of state. As a New Englander, it is one of those places I just love.

I used to go to the one in Braintree, but they unfortunately closed not long after I turned 21.

I used to love Howard Johnson's.

Sometimes after a midnight shift, I'd go with some guys to the HoJo's at the South Shore Plaza for the breakfast buffet.

I used to love the Webster Square Friendly's in Worcester when I was growing up. We used to walk there all the time. A Jim Dandy was the best ice cream sundae in town back in the day.

They actually have three Friendly's now in Palm Beach County, FL, which amazed me when they first opened down here. They have a picture of the Webster Square store on the wall. It's sad to see another part of my childhood fading away....

Ah yes. China Royal. They were open after midnight on weekends. We would get a collection together and send a car over to Fall River to pick up an order for most of the twenty or so of us that were working mids. We'd cover his calls while he was gone.
Whoever flew to pick it up got to keep the change.
