POLICE OFFICER (pre-screening)

Pre-Screening Only
Starting Pay: $12.51/Hour
Shift Work (12 Hour Shifts)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be at least 21 years old.
-Must possess a valid S.C. driver's license.
-Must have a high school diploma or GED.
-Selected applicant must demonstrate proficiency with the Glock 22.40 caliber weapon or be able to do so within six (6) months from the date of hire or promotion. Failure to complete this requirement will be grounds for dismissal.
-Must complete an extensive assessment program.
-Prefer supervisory experience.

HOW TO APPLY:

DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION:
*Copy of your 10-year driver's license record from each state you have been a resident in the past ten years
*Copy of your current, valid driver's license
*Copy of your high school diploma or GED
*DD214 (If you were in the military)
*Birth certificate
*Completed reference list

SELECTION PROCESS:
The following pre-screening selection process will be established in the consideration of applications for the position of Police Officer. An applicant must successfully complete each component in order to be considered for assignment to the eligibility list.
-Driver's license record check
-Interview
-Thorough background investigation

Pre-screening activities do not indicate that a vacancy exists; however, eligible candidates will be provided the opportunity to participate in designated assessment to determine future employment consideration.
