WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. - Federal agents have raided the home and business of a Washington Park police detective, but they won't say why.

Police Detective Kim McAfee was not arrested nor charged criminally after about 15 agents from the FBI, IRS and Illinois State Police were at his house Tuesday, along with a drug-sniffing police dog. Police Chief Calvin Hammonds said McAfee would continue his work as a detective with the Washington Park Police Department.

Earlier this year, federal agents raided Washington Park Village Hall and carted out 63 boxes of village records plus a basket and briefcases from the village hall annex. Authorities would not say whether Tuesday's raid was related.

Federal agents took McAfee's police weapons and three cell phones as part of their investigation.
