Sorry if this has been stated elsewhere but I have look around and cannot find it anywhere.

Does anyone know the number of days it will take for a registration to be suspened if you do not get a sticker? I know you have 60 from the date you fail, does this 60 days apply in both sittuations? I assume it is Ch.90, if anyone knows the section that would be very helpful. Thanks for your help!

About a month ago I made a mv stop for an inspection sticker which had expired 9/04. The registration ended up being suspended. Leaps gave the reason as habitually failing to inspect your vehicle. I stopped another which the sticker had expired 1/05 and the registration was still active. I thought maybe that the habitually meant that the owner had previously been cited and still not inspected the car. Unfortunately, I can not find someone who knows the answer for sure.

I may be mistaken but:

90/20, Failure to meet RMV safety standards, $25 if stopped any time in the 60 days following initial failure with a RED R (safety standards).
More than 60 days after initial failure, 90/20, failure to inspect, $50, for either safety or emissions failure.
