Emerson is sprawled all over the theater district/back bay and we run into situations all the time within 10 feet of our nearest building. The chief wants us to just call Boston and not get involved. If it is something major and the officer has a desire he/she will act and get the wrath of the chief in the morning or sometimes next week. By the way, we run only SSPO
Extra Territorial Arrest Powers
Looking for dept name and any details on college/university PD's (in Mass) with officers cross sworn as deputy sheriffs or town specials, etc.... in addition to their SSPO powers?
Also depts with properties owned, leased or used sprawled throughout town where they are consistently finding officers in transit on public streets between properties and policy for extra territorial arrest.
