Director of Security
The Director of Security for the Executive Office of Transportation (EOT) administers and coordinates all security policies and programs for the Executive Office and all of the agencies and authorities under the Transportation Secretariat [e.g., Massachusetts Highway Department (MHD), Massachusetts Aeronautics Commission (MAC), Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV), Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and Regional Transit Authorities (RTA's)]. This requires the Director to work closely with Senior level management staff from the EOT agencies and authorities; state, federal and local law enforcement agencies; private and public transportation companies and organizations; city, town and other municipalities; federal and other state agencies and organizations; legislative offices; and other various community businesses and organizations.
The applicant should possess at least six years of senior level management experience in one or more of the following areas: law enforcement, aviation security, professional asset/military force protections, or corporate security, and have multi-disciplinary expertise in the areas of emergency management, risk assessment, security, Homeland Security, transportation management, and communication and computer systems. Ability to plan and organize, set priorities, develops schedules and milestones and formulates and evaluates plans. Skill in motivating and inspiring others and adapting own leadership style to a variety of situations. Ability to express ideas and facts in a clear and understandable manner, tailoring communication to the intended audience. Salary range is $52,700.44 to $108,249.24
