Westport -

Police arrested a former home health care worker Thursday after she allegedly beat a woman with a neurological disease who uses a wheelchair.
Mandy Blake, 31, of 50 Charlotte White Road, is charged with assault and battery on a disabled person, assault and battery to collect a loan, breaking and entering for a felony and intimidating a witness.
Police spokesman Detective Jeff Majewski said Officers Gary Cambra and James Roberts responded to an address in the 300 block of Pine Hill Road about 12:30 p.m. for a report of a past break-in and assault on the occupant.
When Blake, who had not worked in the victim's home for about a year, went to the victim's residence earlier, she was told by the victim to leave, Majewski related.
Police were told that Blake was a former health care worker and friend of the victim.
"Ms. Blake refused to leave, entered the home and began arguing with the victim over a financial issue," Majewski said. "The victim reported that Ms. Blake grabbed the victim by the arms and punched her about the head."
Blake then left the area. When police went to her home, she yelled at them from an open window and refused to exit the house, Majewski stated. At one point, police heard Blake yelling at the victim over the phone, he said.
As police secured the suspect's home and awaited an arrest warrant, she exited the house and was arrested.
