Are there any EP Officers on t his board and if so I just applied to take the exam I was just wondering what the job is like and if the hiring process is the same as municipal dept. any ifno would be great. Thanks
I got a 97 on the last EPO exam. Know the difference between different species of fish (e.g. a brown trout's mouth extends 1/2 inch behind the eye, minimum catch requirements) and ALL of the various hunting and firearm laws.
The exam is tough, very tough. Start studying now, know the hunting/fishing abstracts by heart and take a ride to the Fisheries and Wildlife Headquarters in Westborough and get copies of EPO bulletins and enviromental law updates.
I hear that they changed the upcoming exam because they are looking for trained police officers, CJ background and no more fish f*ckers and clam diggers.
Blackops, did they hire off the last test?
I didn't think they did. There used to be rumors that civil service wouldn't have another test until a least one person was hired from the previous list.
