WRENTHAM - Simultaneous drug raids at two Wrentham homes a half-mile apart Friday were unrelated, but designed "so one wouldn't know we were at the other and then try to clean up," police said Sunday night.

Eleven local residents were arrested, and police seized Ecstasy, powdered MDMA, and marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia from 41 Hamilton Road and 473 East St., police Detective Sgt. William McGrath said. Powdered MDMA is a form of Ecstasy.

McGrath said "a modest amount of drugs" were seized, enough that "clearly, in some cases, was intended for distribution."

Hamilton Road is off of East Street, which is Route 140.

Police and narcotic officers from the Norfolk County Anti-Crime Task Force executed the search warrants, which culminated an investigation launched by Wrentham police. "Both locations were under investigation for drug activity, and had been under investigation for some time, but the activity at the two locations was, as far as we know, unrelated," McGrath said.

All 11 suspects posted bail. They face arraignment today in Wrentham District Court.
