An 11-year-old East Boston girl remains missing two days after she wandered away from a McDonald's restaurant she visited with her brother, police said.
The girl, identified by police as Marizali Aponti, is described as 4-feet, 6-inches tall, with a medium build for a girl her age.
The girl and her brother had walked to the fast-food outlet Tuesday and were supposed to be picked up about 6 p.m., but when the girl's mother arrived her son was there alone, police said.
The girl's mother went to police about 11:40 p.m. to report her girl missing. She told investigators the girl has wandered off in the past, but is usually home in a few hours.
Anyone with information on the girl's whereabouts is urged to call 911, or call the East Boston precinct at (617) 343-4234. To leave information anonymously text the word TIP to CRIME (27463) or call (800) 494-TIPS.
