Quick question for you patrol guys.
A Q3 on a party.
"A number" comes back SUS/REX
"S number" comes back ACTI
Do you hit them with "suspension, operating after", or send them on their way and tell them to hit the registry to get that A taken care of, as they're operating under the Active status of the "S" number?

What if it were reversed, A-License=active, S-License=suspended?
Does any Active status in Mass trump any other Mass Status?
What about Active Mass A number, suspended NH status, NH resident?
if i remember correctly, suspended in issuing-state = no good in mass ever, regardless of MA status

And how would someone get an A and S number, with the A suspended? A numbers are usually generated when an out-of-stater get a CMVI. The S number comes into play when he/she moves into the state. But would figure the RMV would not activate the S number until the suspension of the A number was resolved.

Yes, that helps. Perfectly.

That's what I was thinking. If the RMV wants you to to be suspended, and notes such on a license number representing your name, you're suspended. It's not "lets slip by under this or that number".

Anyways, is there any CMR or something from the RMV regarding this? Just hate to say "yea, well I said SUS because I read online that SUS/ACT=SUS"

Personally, I like the idea that the accident was on making an ACT S number, not on the SUS A number, and agree that cutting loose on a SUS status is an enormous liability. If Ma went out of their way to make a LIC status SUS, that's what they want, and that's how it is until further notice.

I personally got whacked on a true-mistake SUS on my license, arrest and all. Even after the RMV in writing admitting it was an error, and such being entered as the Judge's reason for dismissal, I can't get it completely off my BOP. Not with court transcripts, not with certified letters from the RMV, NOTHING. One state agency completely messes up, the other doesn't want to hear about it. So now my Q2ONE shows 1 Adult Bop hit, and I look like just another shitbag, forget verbal's for me for life.

For most people, its easy to explain this to an employer. Explaining this during a LEO interview is one tough spot...

As someone else said, unless Mass RMV is notified of the suspension (Ri doesnt notify MA for non-payment / failure to report accident / other minors), and there is an Active MA status, I cant find anything that clearly says that Active isn't really.

I always understood :
Active mass status = Active regardless of other states
Sus Mass = Suspended regardless of other states
Negative Mass status, Suspended one other state = Suspended
Negative Mass status, Active one other, Suspended third = Active (operating under state 2's reciprocacy)
