BOSTON (WBZ) ― A 7-year-old retriever is now in stable condition after being hit by "multiple cars" on Hyde Park Ave. in Boston Saturday afternoon, according to the MSCPA.
Veterinarians at the MSPCA treated the dog, now called "Big Red," for abdominal bleeding.
Big Red is now in stable condition and will remain on pain medication and antibiotics as he rests up, the MSPCA said.
The MSPCA and Animal Control are now looking to reunite Big Red with his owner. The retriever was found with a black collar, but had no identification tags and is not microchipped.
Anyone with information about Big Red or his owner is asked to call Boston Animal Control at 617.635.5348.
