Does your department authorize back up guns?

If so what is the policy, if not why - if you know.

Also if you carry a BUG, what do you carry? firearm, caliber, ammo, holster, where, etc.

or
"All are issued BUG's which are used by narc, det, etc for deep cover while on duty"
