Duties:
At the full performance level you will serve as the training instructor responsible for course development, implementation and presentation. You will apply instructional techniques and technical information by developing/maintaining courses, lesson plans/exams, provide instructor guidance, prepare/present training courses, administer in-service law enforcement training/development activities for officers, updates training methods, provides advice/assistance to management to determine training needs/sources, prepare plans, regulations, supplements, sops and maintain statistical database of training results. You will serve as primary Armor with responsibilities for maintaining an arms room with responsibilities for forecasting ammunition and maintaining all weapons. You will be responsible for the DES impact credit card and office inventory. You will perform a full range of police operations duties as a uniformed Federal Police Officer as needed.

About the Position: This position is located in the US Army Garrison, Soldier Systems Center. The Center manages and oversees a comprehensive, integrated program for major and secondary Department of Defense items and insures supportability and operational readiness of soldier, chemical and biological systems and items.

General Schedule
Applicants should show in their resume knowledge and experience with law enforcement training activities and familiarity with the law enforcement mission, policies, procedures, equipment/weapons that develop, deliver, assess training needs, and evaluate law enforcement training. In addition have knowledge and experience of various law enforcement laws/regulations involving protection of persons and property.

The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction.
One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.
Demonstrated work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Personnel security investigation required.

A medical examination is required.
This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
A medical examination is required in accordance with Army Regulation 190-56, Appendix B and C, prior to employment. Reimbursement of examination is authorized if obtained at other than a military treatment facility. Must obtain medical clearance to perform essential job functions and to take a physical agility test.
Firearms testing required on a semi-annual basis.
Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
Must be able to pass an initial and an annual physical agility test.
Must be able to successfully graduate from a US Army Military Police School-accredited academy; unless waived.
