Duties: To provide a safe and secure environment at the Quincy Mental Health Center by the use of community policing, patrolling, emergency response, crime prevention and the performance of additional duties as specified.

Qualifications: Minimum Entrance Requirements: None.

Special Requirements: Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class 3 Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Appointee must be eligible for appointment as a special police officer under Chapter 147 of the Massachusetts General Laws.

Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED is preferred.

Comments: This is a civil service position. If there is no civil service list for this title, employees appointed must take and pass the next Civil Service examination when administered.
Quincy Mental Health Center provides high quality acute inpatient care to South Shore communities within the Metro Suburban Area. The 16-bed JCAHO accredited inpatient unit coordinates closely with local community services, professionals and families to insure timely restoration to community life for clients. QMHC strives to create an environment which promotes growth and independence for clients, families and employees alike.

Positions #00021104 is full-time 40 hours per week, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Days off are Alt. Tuesdays/Thursdays and Alt. Weekends. This position is assigned to the Quincy Mental Health Center.
