Police Communications Dispatcher 1

Framingham State College currently seeks a Police Dispatcher in Public Safety and Police Services. Job responsibilities will include answering business and information calls; answering and processing all emergency calls in a timely fashion, maintaining direct radio communication with FSC Police Officers, Town of Framingham Police & Fire; maintaining daily log in a timely fashion; answering and monitoring calls from campus emergency phones, college Nextel phones, emergency Lab phones and emergency elevator phones; monitoring over 30 CCTV digital surveillance camera system; taking in and tagging all found property; deactivating College identification cards from restricted persons; querying registration and warrant checks for field Officers; filing maintenance request for determined college deficiencies; serving window/counter traffic and issuing temporary parking passes and assisting with parking decal mailings and correspondence and other related duties as required. Dispatchers will be required to complete Power Phone dispatcher training; and maintain CPR, first aid and LEAPS/CJIC/NCIC certification.

Successful candidates will be computer literate with various applications including computer-aided dispatch.

Salary: $478.59 weekly, plus excellent fringe benefits including tuition remission, health insurance and the use of athletic facility.
