CORNISH, N.H. (AP/CBS) - A 54-year-old New Hampshire deer hunter is recovering after an eight-point buck gored him with an antler after being shot.
Everett Gray of Cornish shot the deer near his home Thursday afternoon and then moved in to finish the kill with a knife.
He said that's when the white-tail lunged at him, piercing his abdomen with an antler point and lifting him off the ground.
Gray told WBZ the deer rammed its head into his stomach and pushed him down a slope before he managed dislodge the antler point from his side.
