Public Safety Officer
Daytona Beach Shores, Florida

Job Description / Responsibilities
The City of Daytona Beach Shores is a small beachside community located on the barrier island just south of Daytona Beach, Florida. With 4,500 full-time residents and a daily population of approximately 12,000 the city experiences a series of "special events" throughout the year causing large fluctuation in population and activity. These events include bike week, race weeks, spring break, black college reunion and "biketoberfest." Due to the nature of the area and population fluctuation the Fire and Police services are merged to better meet the needs of our community.

A Daytona Beach Shores Public Safety Officer (PSO) is required to serve as a law enforcement officer, firefighter/EMT or firefighter/paramedic during his 12-hour shift.
