I have a leather belt that is a little big. I set the buckle in the middle and iam left with a lot of extra leather. Because of this i can not put anything in the front of my belt on that side. Has any one ever cut the extra leather off with out killing the belt. If could you post some info on it please
Thanks

I have cut down my leather duty belt and it is not ruined. I used a very sharp knife and it was very tough but eventually I cut through it. I did this because of the same reasons you have stated. Now I have room on the left side to put stuff on. The edge does not get frayed and you can't even notice it unless you stare.

Trace a pattern so it doesn't look all mishaped when you cut it. A really sharp knife, a box cutter and a few blades. Then leather dye the fresh cut. If you are really hard up u could use a sharpie or kiwi (be careful it stains).
