Advance press release from a friend of mine. All proceeds go toward the productions costs of a professional-quality documentary; we need to get these heroes interviewed on video before they are gone to the Supreme Commander in the Sky forever! This will surely be a once-in-a-lifetime kind of opportunity.

Red Sox Legend Curt Schilling Teams up with
World War II’s Famous “Band of Brothers”
Providence, R.I., (October 25, 2010) – Veterans Memorial Auditorium and Tim Gray Media to host a remarkable evening featuring Boston Red Sox legend Curt Schilling and WWII’s most famous war heroes, the Men of Easy Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne and a few of the actors who played them in the HBO series “Band of Brothers”. Best-selling military author and distinguished Vietnam veteran Ron Drez will also be on the panel.
“We are thrilled to bring together legends of both baseball and WWII to engage in a lively discussion about this extraordinary group of men who endured so much to shape our great country, said Tim Gray”, president of Tim Gray Media. “The historic value of these veterans sitting down with the actors who portrayed them can’t be underscored enough.”

“There are so many stories that provide insight into what these war heroes went through and they need to be told,” continued Gray. “The success of this fundraiser will allow us to give voice to the many men who served our great country in an upcoming WWII documentary.”

The Men of Easy Company, 506th PIR, 101st Airborne were made famous in the book by Stephen Ambrose and the HBO series produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

The fundraising event will be held November 12, 2010 at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence, R.I. at 7pm with a VIP reception beginning at 6pm, for ticket information visit Tickets range from $20 to $32.
