CT State police arrest more than 1,500 over New Year's holiday

    HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut state police say they've arrested more than 1,500 people since Saturday as troopers ramped up enforcement for the New Year's holiday weekend.
    The arrests as of 10 a.m. today include 708 hazardous moving arrests, 683 speeding arrests, 128 seatbelt arrests and 55 arrests for driving under the influence. In addition, state police investigated 199 accidents, including 28 accidents with injuries.

    I find an issue with these numbers...... looks like the media is putting a spin on this........

    708 hazardous moving arrests,
    683 speeding arrests,
    128 seatbelt arrests

    The above stats MUST be citations......... NO ?

    Had to be.

    Since all those arrests stem from one traffic stop.

    For some reason if you look at CT Police logs in the CT newspapers, it lists this stuff as arrests.

    Yup-

    And all 1500 live in one apartment on Althea St in Providence.
