I am transferring to a non-civl service PD in a few weeks and was wondering if someone could recommend which criminal / MV law books to purchase? In my current state, we typically just refer to the online criminal statutes when needed and we have MV code book that comes out every year or so.
Was thinking about buying the 2012 law book. Anything out there on MV code? I know the violations are the same but would like to at least get something to study over the next few weeks. Thanks.

I have used both Commonwealth Police Services and. I like both for different reasons. Law Enforcement Dimensions has a nice liitle book for field use. It is called the quick stop field guide. It covers Motor vehicle and criminal law and fits in a citation book holder. It has fine amounts for civil infractions and powers of arrest for criminal.
TrippleSeven, send me a PM. I have some info you may like to have to help you make up your mind.
As mentioned, the LED books are much faster to use for statutes, because it simplifies the elements and gives very short briefs on the important caselaws. For ConLaw or the more advanced stuff, CPS or Hanrahan have good detailed books, but the statutes aren't really broken down into easy to read bullet points. (Hanrahan's site: http://www.masspromotions.us/ )
If you pick them, get them through LED, not Andreas Police Supply. Those cunts buy them for retail then mark up the price $10 per book.
Fucking hate them with every ounce of my being.
