Anyone ever heard of this test? I am heading down to North Carolina and the CVSA test is used to measure the change in the frequency modulation of the human voice. For the purpose of the test, stress equals deception. I haven't talked to anyone who has experienced this and am looking for some info.

The only time I ever heard of the test was when a Rehoboth officer had a possible suspect in a B&E, he pulled out a PBT and told him it was a Voice Stress Analyzer and that he had failed the test.

Supposedly confessed after failing the test

Who would have thunk it.

I use something like that when I get a possible 94c call except I use one of those blue asp lights and shine it on the kids hands and say see...pot residue!!! Works like a charm.
I have researched the CVSA and there are lots of articles that state the test is 98% effective in pinpointing deception. I have nothing to hide but am skeptical anytime I get hooked up to the "box"

Not that is matters here in Mass, but Many of the larger southern California Departments are switching from the polygraph to the CVSA. Supposed to work pretty good, but I dont have any specifics.
