Collision in Bridgewater leaves 3 seriously injured

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Two National Guardsmen are being credited for their assistance after witnessing an accident on Broad St. involving a full size pick-up truck and an SUV.
The two vehicles crashed into each other at a high speed, just nearly escaping a head on collision.
There were three people in the SUV in their teens, and two people in the pick-up truck in their twenties.
The National Guardsmen, Edward Swayle and Michael Cooper, from the Bridgewater National Guard Armory, were driving by and stopped to assist before authorities arrived.
The jaws of life were used to extract the victims from both vehicles, who all suffered head, neck, and bone injuries.
The victims were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton and later taken to Boston.
