SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield police catch an alleged copper tubing thief early Sunday morning.
Police arrested a Chicopee man outside of the Western Massachusetts Electric Company complex on Cadwell Drive just before 3 o'clock Sunday morning.
Police Lieutenant C. Lee Bennett told 22News, they've charged 28-year-old Nathan Martin of Walnut Street in Chicopee with breaking and entering and larceny.
Martin was reportedly caught red handed with more than $300 worth of copper tubing. Lieutenant Bennett said Martin's two alleged accomplices got away.
They reportedly used bolt cutters to cut through the chain link fence.
